Video downloader guides — and an honest support board
This site is the guide layer for a multi-platform video downloader. It explains how the downloader actually works, which of the 81 supported platforms it really handles (with the measurement behind each claim), and where the legal lines are. The downloading itself happens at the tool site — and there are no ads on either one.
Checked in your browser against the tool's live allowlist — nothing you type is sent to this site.
Open the downloader →No ads here. The tool does the downloading — you'll see exactly where the button opens before you click.
How the handoff works
- Paste a full clip link, or just a platform name.
- Your browser checks it against the tool's real allowlist — instantly, locally.
- One click opens the tool with your link already filled in. You never re-type it.
Which platforms actually work — and how we know
Every claim on this site traces back to a measurement, not a guess. On 2026-10-18 we ran a scripted probe against all 90 candidate platforms: it fetched each homepage, followed a sample clip link, and checked whether a direct video file URL (an .mp4 or .webm) was present in the served HTML. The result was not "they all work" — it was a split. 26 platforms returned a directly parseable video link on the first try. 3 need a per-site adapter because their player builds the file URL in JavaScript. 17 reject non-browser traffic at the network layer. The rest are photo-first, JavaScript-rendered, or simply no longer online.
The full board, with the date and the evidence for each platform, is on the status page. And each platform now has its own page — its measured status, what you'd get, and an honest next step — in the platform index.
How to use the video downloader
- Copy the page URL. Open the clip you want to save on the platform and copy the full URL from the address bar — the page you're looking at, not the raw file.
- Paste it into the tool. In about a second the tool fetches the public page, finds the direct file URL, and shows you a download link with the detected format and, where possible, the quality.
- Download. The bytes stream from the platform's own CDN — the tool only signs the request; it never re-encodes or re-hosts the file.
- No clip handy? Start from a platform name in the platform index — it explains exactly what to expect from that platform before you try.
What "supported" means — and doesn't
We use four honest labels instead of one optimistic checkmark. "Works today" means a direct video link was present on the page we probed and the generic parser found it without special handling. "Adapter in progress" means the page loads, but the file URL is generated by JavaScript or is a signed, expiring URL — fixable, and we build adapters in order of demand. "Not yet verified" means our probe couldn't confirm a working clip page (JavaScript-rendered listings, or a photo-first platform) — it may still work with a direct clip URL. "Not supported" means the platform blocks non-browser traffic, and we do not circumvent bot protection. Each label describes a measurement, not a sales pitch.
What to expect from this site
- No ads, no affiliate links, no tracking — this page loads zero third-party resources.
- No data collection — the checker runs in your browser; this site has no backend.
- Disclosed handoffs — before you click, the chip names the exact site the button opens.
- Same operator as the tool site — different jobs: this one explains, that one downloads.
The legal boundaries
This tool downloads from public, unauthenticated clip pages on the platforms in its allowlist. It does not bypass logins, does not bypass geo-blocks, does not solve CAPTCHAs, and does not circumvent WAFs — that line holds for every platform, by design. It also does not support platforms whose core content is real, non-anonymous people (leaks, stalking aggregators, non-consensual material); that is a consent call, not a technical one. Because these are third-party platforms, you are responsible for only saving content you have the right to save. The full rules are on the legal page, and the takedown process is on the DMCA page.
Quick answers
Is it free, and why no ads?
Free. This site is the guide layer for the downloader and runs no ads, affiliates, or tracking. The tool site is also ad-free.
Does this site download videos?
No — it explains and links. The tool site does the parsing, and the file itself comes from the platform's own CDN.
Is my URL logged?
The home-page checker never transmits anything. The tool processes a URL once to find the direct link and does not store it.
Why aren't some platforms supported?
Bot protection (which we don't circumvent), dead platforms, or content of real, non-anonymous people (which we don't support on consent grounds). The status board lists all of it.
