About this site

What it is

Downloader Guides is an independent, ad-free multi-platform video downloader. Paste a clip link and it finds the direct file and streams it to you. It's also built to be transparent: how the downloading works technically, which platforms actually work (and why the others don't), and where the legal and ethical boundaries are.

How it's built

One project, two parts. The front end — these pages — is a static set of HTML that runs in your browser. The download itself is handled by a small, dedicated parse service: when you press Download, the clip URL is sent to that service, which fetches the public page, locates the direct file, and streams it to you from the platform's own CDN (or via a short-lived proxy for referer-protected CDNs). That service is the only backend, it stores nothing, and it sets no cookies.

We disclose the architecture plainly because you should always know where your input goes and what happens to it. The full data story is on the privacy page.

How the status board is produced

The status board is a mirror of a measured probe, not a marketing list. A scripted probe fetches each platform's homepage, picks clip-like pages, and runs the downloader's own extraction logic; failures are post-verified (dead domains are re-checked against two public DNS resolvers; false positives are re-tested against known clip URLs). The probe date is published on the board, and the raw (filename-masked) results ship with the project. When a platform changes state, the board changes the same day.

Non-affiliation

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any platform named on this site. Platform names appear only in factual compatibility or refusal statements, in text only, without logos. All platforms are property of their respective owners, and using the downloader does not imply any relationship with them.

Lines we hold

  • No circumvention of logins, geo-blocks, or bot protection — anywhere, ever.
  • No support for platforms whose core content is real, non-anonymous people (leak/stalking aggregators, non-consensual material).
  • No ads, no data collection, no third-party scripts.
  • Honest "no"s published alongside the "yes"s.
