Frequently asked questions

Plain answers. If something important is missing, the about page has the contact path.

What is this site?

A multi-platform video downloader for 81 sites. Paste a clip link and it finds the direct file and streams it to you. It also publishes the measured support status for every researched platform — and is honest about the ones it can't handle.

Is it free, and why are there no ads?

Free, and there are no ads, affiliate links, or tracking — on this site. The no-ads rule is a design constraint, not a phase.

Is my URL logged or stored?

When you use the downloader, the URL is processed once to find the direct link and is not stored; the video file itself comes from the platform's own CDN.

Why can't I download from some platforms?

Three honest reasons: the platform bot-walls non-browser traffic (we do not circumvent protection), the platform is dead or parked, or the platform's core content is real, non-anonymous people (we do not support those on consent grounds). The status board lists each with its reason.

What does the “10-minute link” mean?

The downloader's save link carries a short-lived signature (10 minutes) so it can't be reused as an open proxy. If it expires, run the parse again — it takes seconds.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. The site is mobile-first. On phones, the download may open as a video play rather than a file save, depending on your browser — a desktop browser gives the most reliable file download.

Are you affiliated with any of the platforms?

No. Platform names appear only in factual compatibility statements, in text only, with no logos. We are not connected to, endorsed by, or affiliated with any listed platform.

How does the downloading actually happen?

When you paste a link, we fetch the public page, find the direct video file, and stream it to you from the platform's own CDN (or a short-lived proxy for referer-protected CDNs). We never re-encode, re-host, or store the file.
